Saturday, June 14, 2008 - Brian-Kyle's Yacht Party
We sailed around the harbor for about 3 hours whilst enjoying bottomless drinks, a few snacks, and good company. This was followed by a few hours of karaoke at Chorus.

Sunday, June 15, 2008 - MAIS Orientation
I met a few people from my class and engaged in a few icebreakers and convos. Met the Dean and impressed him by giving him a business card. Went back to CH afterwards (so the commute would be shorter in the morning).
Monday, June 16, 2008 - First Day of Class
A little apprehensive in meeting new people, but it went well. Introduced myself to classmates two times for two different classes. Amused by classmates that spoke Chinese but were not Chinese :) I posted a sad post about not having anyone to hang out with, just because I had gone to the workout room (closed) during lunch and then went to the library. However, I did have a lengthy convo with one of my classmates :D. Commuted back to SD at night.
Tuesday, June 17, 2008: Del Mar Fair with Yishu, Iris, Dustin, Stephanie, Alan
'Twas the San Diego Fair, to be exact. (Ran a few errands before this.) Parking was difficult to find, so four of us carpooled to the main lot and paid some bucks. Lots of junk food (funnel cake - especially a "Mexican" funnel cake, which Dusty called a "turd" -_-) and various vendors. Tried my hand at the bottle game, but FAILED -_-. Afterwards, we went to Joe's Pizza or something (me, Dusty, and Yishu), then headed back home...well, I headed to Dusty's because I needed to finish homework (mucho thanks to him, since the library was closed and I had no printer access - this guy saved my arse :D).
Wednesday, June 18, 2008: Day II of MAIS
We presented thesis proposals. One of my classmates wanted to do a 'sexual' study (jokingly) and said something about participating in it himself. The professor said he'd probably want to check in with the school before doing so.
Thursday, June 19, 2008: SD Zoo
Day of fun! Went to all the exhibits. Most notable: cute beady-eyed snake, dancing flamingos, free peacock that was running around, an anteater with panda-feet, panda that slept lazily on a tree, bird pecking at Yishu's feet, Yishu and Dusty climbing rocks, peeing elephant, and Ren's discovery of a penguin bag that opened via zipper (unzipping it would decapitate the bird). Most of us went home and then passed out. I passed out for a long time (3 hours) and then woke up to clean some of my room and pack. Went back to bed a little later...
Friday, June 20, 2008: Day III of MAIS / Jade Theater
Packed early in the morning and loaded car. Wooohoo...had class in the morning and then went straight to the Bowers Museum for the Terra Cotta Warrior display! It wasn't that exciting, but it was fun, nonetheless :). Met up with Mom and Bro at the museum. The two moved my boxes of stuff to their car, so I was extremely grateful. Bro drove me back to SD, which was great :D. Went to Jade Theater at nighttime. Bro later told me that one of my roomies walked in on him when he was laying down, and she was surprised to just see him. She asked where I was, and he said, "she went clubbing..." and my roomie laughed. Met up with Stephanie, Alan, Dusty, Yishu, and Iris. I drove Dusty, Yishu, and Iris...and the club was full of Asians o_O....bumped into quite a few people I knew, though :P Danced with Sexymexy and more. Found out water is free at Jade Theater. One friend almost got into a serious fight. Went to Roberto's afterwards (I drank water like a camel...'cause man, was it hot in thurr - the club, 'twas). Got home around 3:30am. Bed by 4am.
Saturday, June 21, 2008: Commencement!
Slept on the ground, as promised to Bro. Got up around 6:30am and got onto campus with bro by 7:00am. I saw Jawknee!! Anyway...haha. Waited in the hot sun for awhile. Yes, I saw that guy named JEFFREY that I used to have a crush on, har har. Now it's kind of in the open o_oo. My Erzi lined up behind me and we sat together during graduation :D. Not much interesting stuff happened, although...our senior speaker was kind of weird. She was a Third World Studies major and talked about random stuff...she spoke in a very slow, but automated tone. She expounded on her experiences in Ghana, about how she and a child extended a hello to each other and made connections via counting in English. Then, she talked about calling Dell and reaching an Indian guy on the other line. Most of the graduates behind me were giggling at her. Well, after that ended, bro and I looked for some friends, took pictures (with Ren & Jen <3, MASA people, and others who came to the Muir graduation), then went back to the apartment to take pictures with relatives. Went to lunch together and re-connected somewhat. Then, family came back and packed a few of my things and left. Bro and I were left in the house during the nasty heatwave. We escaped the heat by going to UTC. The lemonade at Hot-Dog-on-a-Stick is kind of nasty - they use fake sugar in their lemonade! Gahh. We went back for a bit, then headed to TGIF for a light dinner. Continued to pack and slept soonafter...
Sunday, June 22, 2008, Moving Out
We were supposed to go to the Zoo today, but the weather was so sweltering hot that we kept falling asleep. Finally, we got up around 1pm and continued to pack our stuff. Mom got here around 4pm and we helped to load the goods into the car. Took a brief break around 5:30pm, in order to get some Golden Spoon yogurt. Finished the loading of boxes into the cars and went to dinner at Rock Bottom. We three shared two entrees and one appetizer...it was plenty of food. Left for home...for good. Goodbye, San Diego *blows kisses*...
Monday, June 23, 2008, Day IV of MAIS / Xueman Send-off
Another typical, sleepy day. At night, I went to see Xueman off with Camille and Bro before she left for Shanghai. Shared a lot of updates in my life with them. <3Xueman.
Tuesday, June 24, 2008, Lunch at Kiku Sushi / Night Seminar
Had lunch with Camille, Sean, and Masucci - great lunch deal, yummers. Just basically updated each other on each other's life :) Went to a seminar at night (relevant to Chinese things) and brought Bro, who learned a lot. At night, I spent hours digging through old photos and other stuff, in order to be able to make Camille a going-away gift.
Wednesday, June 25, 2008, Day V of MAIS / Camille Send-off
Erm, this was the day I presented "Jing Ye Si" by Li Bai...and I made some weird hand motions that cracked people up. At night, I went to Yardhouse with Masucci, Liz, and Camille. It was loud, but we managed to hold some nice conversations. I was sleep deprived and very entertaining that night. I wanted everyone to share juicy stories, but I guess I shared the majority of them. Also busted out with random moves. Then, Camille, Masucci, and I were talking near Masucci's house, when I mentioned, "Hey, I've never gone to that little league field before," so we went there briefly. Then, Masucci said with great emotional feeling: "When's the next time we'll hang out like this again?" I almost got a bit teary-eyed at this, but of course I feel positively certain that we'll hang out again. Japan, sire and lady?? So, we bid Camille farewell...for now ;) <3 you, girl.
Thursday, June 26, 2008: SD Visitation & DJ's Birthday Party
Went down to SD, had lunch with Crystal at a pho place, then got ready for a birthday party. Jen, Ren, and I ate some food from DJ's barbeque, then waited for people to come forth. As the night got on, the dj played trance/techno, as well as a little hip-hop. I got down, like always. Also showed off my glowsticking skills. I'm sure I'd like to go to a rave sometime and check out the lightshows. One dude gave me a lightshow, as well.
Story of the Night I: I was eating a hot dog, when my hand spasmed for a moment, causing my hot dog to fall off my plate, onto my white shorts. I shouted in horror and ate my hotdog. Then, I proceeded into the restroom to clean off my shirt/shorts. I came out and my clothes were pretty wet. They were fine after a few hours, though.
Story of the Night II: I was holding onto a friend, when she somehow tripped backwards, so I fell backwards with her. I just about landed on her, but luckily for her, my knee scraped the carpet -_-. I thought I got a bruise, but it turned out that yes, little bits of skin were broken :x. It's healed now :D
12:30am: Left party and headed to Kyle's
3:30am: Finished homework and left for Jen's
4:00am: Went to sleep after showering
6:00am: Woke up to get ready for school
8:00am: Got to school...yay! Made it back in time after a crazy night of commuting and fun activities ;DFriday, June 27, 2008: Day VI of MAIS

This deserves its own post, which is the post on Sunday, June 29 ;) The post is a profound diagnostic of a successful leadership-promotion/career-development program.
Another fun day of school. More participation in the Chinese history class and some statistical learning in the next (more like review). I have hope that I can speed up the internship processing...because I think my audit is finished!!! OMG! I'm going to call the lady tomorrow morn and double-check!!! (Elated and no-longer freaked out about internships ;D).
